Don began his funeral service career at Gillies Funeral Home in 1967. He received an Associate of Science in Funeral Services Degree from Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon, in 1970 and his Funeral Director - Embalmer's licenses that same year. Don has served thousands of families since he and Marlene purchased the funeral home in May of 1975. Their primary focus has always been to provide a comforting environment through professional, caring service during a time of loss.
Don & Marlene have five children and four grandchildren.

Mylon Smith- Funeral Director

The oldest of Don and Marlene's children, Mylon has been on staff since February of 1995. He received an Associates of Arts Degree from Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake in 1991, and his Funeral Director's License in 1998. As a Funeral Director, Mylon meets with families, conducts funeral services and is a licensed agent for ForeThought Funeral Planning.
Mylon and his wife Shannon have four children.
